Chibiusa's legs began to ache and fall asleep as she knelt next to Byakuya as the silently meditated, but she did not say a word.

There were a lot of papers on his desk and Byakuya was studying them intently. Chibiusa peeked in first, then quietly tiptoed inside, leaving a cup of tea next to him on the desk.

It had been a late night, with many. of reports to fill. He had finished however, and it was time for him to retire. As he slid the door open he spotted the young girl, contently laying on the floor in her nightgown, clutching a plush rabbit in her arms, sound asleep.

Had she been there all night? He gently knelt down and picked her up, carrying her to her room.

Chibiusa watched contently from a far as she watched Byakuya train and lecture his division. He was hard on them, but she could feel he was only that way so that they could become stronger. Just like when Mama and Papa hadn't picked her up from her fall that rainy day, he wanted his division to become strong and able to fight for themselves.

Byakuya had just come from the room Chibiusa wasn't allowed to see. She wasn't sure what was in there, but whenever Byakuya emerged he seemed even more quiet than usual; just a little more sad. He gave her a quick glance, but said nothing and instead kept walking.

Chibiusa kept his pace and said nothing, silently walking just behind him.

Another day of paperwork. He'd already been working for hours and Chibiusa had, as she tended to do, silently sat next to him, doing homework or doodling on a spare piece of paper. She had already drawn Chappy a few times on one piece.

Byakuya eyes the piles of paperwork, and then Chibiusa with her drawing. He then put down his work and picked up one of Chibiusa's crayons, drawing his own version of Chappy with her own. She looked up at him with big eyes and a bright smile.
